Thanks I know about the hang coming up in April, but that is a bad time of the year for me. Some other time for sure.

A frio morning on the Frio River! We were out as well and it was definitely frio... Looks like you have it pretty dialed in; it's nice to be able to just enjoy the nights outdoors isn't it?

Looks like you had a great couple nights to try out the hammock! You did very very well to stay warm at 24F! I enjoyed seeing the place you chose as your first hang spot. As you know, I have hung from those two trees myself.

That is why I choose it. Having the "shed" as a back up was encouraging but I didn't even think twice about trying the hammock thing. Some lessons learned is an UQ or a SPE can help keep the shoulders warmer. I've been thinking about tackling my first hammock DIY with making a tarp.

Funny thing is Danielle is now thinking of buying a hammock too! Tina wants one as well. Looks like I might have started a movement.

We may have met, depending on how long you've been going out there. I used to be one of the re-enactors out there interpreting one of the Captain's Quarters around 2000-2004.

Its a great place and one of the best kept secrets in Texas. I just wish they had campgrounds there.
