that which you are wearing Sir

    Sir

Not to hijack a thread but ....
What kind of kilt are you wearing in that pic? I am ready to push the button but having some issues with which one. My clan tartan is typically not available in the lighter weight stuff.

    Thanks

BEAS thats a Sports kilt in the Black Watch colors
Be is how Im Dutch and Creek NA I just where the kilt for the freedom of movement and airiness. Plus its fun to watch folks in Wally world feak out as I walk up ROFL

The temp has dropped a bit as I sit here catching up on my Emails
37 now. but I dont feel bad cause its not colder
Just seeing IF I can sleep in it before I take the tent outta the pack.
Plus I needed to find out all the little hiccups I might run in to.

Ive taken the Straps outta the ends and used them as the Tree straps.
5mm rope done in a loop for the ends of the hammoch.
I have found I need to work out hang (height)= that dont look right)
because at 6 ft tall I hung it at shoulder height* and was butt to ground before I got comfy.
Well I'd better try to get out there now Ill update ya when I wake

Well I spent my first night out.
It will take a bit of figuring out but I did get to sleep

My rigging slipped a bit in the night but Ill switch to a ring buckle setup when I find the rings.
Tarp isnt as long as I would like so I may make one to my liking.
Condensation: just where my face turned to the outside wall of the hammock.
and I had a few cold spots. but I think I pushed my Thermarest to the side while I slept.
I might add a half sheet of insulation to fix that.

All in all a good test run. will try a colder run if it gets colder here.
