It is sold in all/most Swedish supermarkets (afaik) in different flavours (bacon, cheese, shrimp...)... Got no idea if you could get it stateside... I just buy it when I get there..... or improvise and get something else..... It lasts outside of the fridge.... if it gets the time... usually a tube like that gives me around three breakfasts (or three lunches or ... well you get it I hope )

Yup, I can verify this. The shrimp and ham flavours are sort of the "original", but nowadays there's a whole bunch of different flavours, including bacon. Real convenient for camping, and lasts a long while too.
You used to be able to buy it at Ikea abroad in the Swedish foods section, but since they implemented their own food brand sales () I don't know how the supply and variety of flavours look like.
What's in the Baconost is my question.
Cream cheese (made from hard cheese) with bacon. Ost is Swedish for cheese. The most common brand "Kavli" has something like 25 flavours, including bacon, shrimp, crayfish, game, chorizo and others in various cominations..
Hungry now.... and sorry for a bit of thread hijack..
Sweet! I think those are pretty clear. In other words it is clear that you can build a fire atop the SE 908 table! Awesome!
I've got bot the table and Element, but I don't have hiking poles. I've modified it and it looks a bit like the 1st post. The downside is no fire. I'm working on another hiking poleless version that perhaps I can use the wood stove on... we'll see
