    Question Amsteel Blue cut Hammock?

I have 1/8" Amsteel Blue Doubled over in the End Channels of my Claytor Jungle. I am thinking that the 1/8" might be a little small and I would like to know if anyone thinks this will cut my Hammock. Or tear threw the channel. I have hung in it about 6 times now with the Amsteel and I see no signs of stress, but it's in the back of my mind.

I have used a double strand of 5/32" spyderline (only *slightly* larger diameter than yours) in the end channel of an ENO for MANY hangs and it's doing fine with no signs of wear. YMMV

Just keep an eye on it.

The weave of the AmSteel Blue allows it to flatten out a bit and it is very slippery, or non-abrasive. It should be less of a problem at cutting or wearing into material than other small diameter cord that has a more abrasive sheath.

    You should be okay.

WBG Blackbirds with the line option use AmSteel Blue. Don't remember the diameter. Have not noticed any wear on the hammock (single layer 1.1). Not aware of any reported problems.

BlackBirds don't use 'through the channel' cording, though. It is a lark's head around the fabric below the whipping.
