Just got back from our 'hang drive-by'... which came later in the day than initially planned after we discovered our hot water tank had died last night . Husby and my dad both worked REALLY hard to get that all fixed by mid-afternoon.
The trail still has some compacted snow/ice as well as some chunks of old snow hanging on in patches, but there's a fair amount of mud out there too. Hammocks are definitely the way to go in a situation like that IMO. Got to check out a few lashups and talk to a few folks before cold and impending darkness chased us back out of the canyon while the campfires got going.
Any word on how the hang went? I'm still in AK, but would love to "hear" about the details.
