Spaceweaseal, what do you do with the doors on the Superfly on the RR? I'm guessing they don't close completely with the suspension triangle, correct? Or can you partially close them and still get good coverage/wind blockage?

I'm thinking of the Superfly or the Cloudburst. I already have a Tadpole for minimal coverage, so I am wondering which of the two would be the best for heavy rain.

I'm using a SF with the RR. You can close the doors pretty well, blocking wind and trapping heat.
You'll have a good sized opening near the top where the triange sus. comes out. Proaly 4-5"
wide. About a foot longer tarp would get you past this issue, isnt the CB longer?

Side benefit to the RR, it sits back in under the tarp further. But.... if windy enough the rains gonna get in.

Found a pic (friends RR) showing coverage.

Has anyone tried an Old Man Winter tarp with the Ridge Runner? Maybe an OMW with a pole mod would help things out?

I used a 12' omw this past weekend and was able to pretty much get full door closure. Maybe I hung the suspension a little less taut, but I couldn't tell, it was my first real outing with the hammock.

Do you have any of the pole mods for you OMW?

I ordered it with the center pole mod, but also fashioned the outer pole mod using various tent parts. I ended up using the outer pole mod as I think it might be more stable than one really long pole. Here's a couple pics:

Wow, nice and roomy. Do you think you could get away with using an 11' OMW? (that's what I've got at the moment)

Re: what tarps are working for the ridgerunner?

I've only used my JRB 11x10 so far. Plenty of room.
