    Who makes the lightest snakeskins

    Would love to know and also if anyone can provide some weights on the do it yourself varieties.

    I bet you could higher some one to make some snake skins. We have some really skilled cottage vendor here. I know that the lightest fabric known to man and it looks like you put your money into it but its cuben. You could find some of the manufactures here that would make you some cuben snake skins lukes ultralight I think makes some if I am not wrong. I am sure you know this but Cuben is probably one of the most expensive fabrics I have seen on this planet.

    True. I think some sort of no seeum or something would be better though. So the tarp could at least dry a little.

    the lightest i saw were made out of no-see-um bug netting. they breath well too. there is a thread on here somewhere??? you could search.

    The Mountain Goat Mesh snake skins are fantastic! They have cord locks on both ends and have pockets for the ridge line on each end....and for $20 you can't beat that! They are no-seeum mesh and are very professionally sewn.
