i'm with bubba.

prussiks on the tie out d-ring, with the line running through for adjustment. attachment is at the tree via a dutch hook or micro biner.

i also rig my tarp lines above my hammock suspension, and at the same angle to avoid interference , and to work the my tarps cat cut ridge line.

+1. I'd been using the continuous ridgeline for 3yrs but just recently switched to the lines off each end. I get a noticeably tighter pitch on my tarp now. I thought the CRL was just a tad easier, but the double-lines really take advantage of the tarp's cantarary cut ridgeline. I find my happy place when my walls are drum tight.
