For me it is, but I suspect it depends on your tarp and how tight you make your pull-outs.

Oops, it's a Superfly. I could always extend the ends of the ridgeline tie out with extra split rings or S biner. Thanks.

So i have been toying with this setup and testing a variant of the Dutch Hook and Flyz version.

I have my Superfly rigged with one Stingerz on either end, the Ridgeline uses no hardware, just a spliced loop on one end and a backsplice for good measure on the other.

When setting my tarp up i do it like this:
The ridgeline goes around the tree and the loop hooks on the beak of the Stingerz and i clip the Stingerz on the ridgline.

I then walk over to the other tree holding the other Stingerz and when get to the end of the tarp i wrap the line on the antenna to keep the tarp fairly attached whilst i wrap the line around the second tree.

Once around the tree i then clip the Stingerz over the line, un-hook it from the antenna, and hook the line in proper fashion.

Once i centerd the tarp where i want it i tension the line and let the tarp out of it's skin.
