people who post trips on FB eventually ruin other sites where the trips were normally posted. People start to wonder why there aren't trips anymore in their area. They don't do FB so they have no clue about the trips

'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read.” ― Mark Twain
Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
The page was originaly started because of the prior setup to the Trip Planning section. The Trips were getting buried rather fast and people were missing them. So to solve the issue we made a FB Fan Page for the VA group. After doing so I realized I could start a thread in the Feedback Forum to see if the Mods would be willing to redesign the Trip Planning section to be more user friendly. Sub-Threading was the chosen method to making the Trip-Planning section more organized. So far it looks pretty good. We will most likely keep the Facebook page and use the announcements feature to update people on upcoming trips.
But we will now use the Regional Sub-Forums for trip planning and the facebook page as just another media outlet to notifiy people of the trips creation in the Trips planning section.
Trips will still originate from HammockForums
I'm interested in the Facebook page and Va Group. Nice Job!
