I think I have sufficiently mastered the acrobatics required to,as Coffee put it, "go off the side of the hammock."
And obviously, I am VERY careful. Still, I've almost fell out my hammock a couple of times...and that would have been...yucky...

Slowly swaying in a hammock is my version of a steady morphine drip, without the risk of renal failure.
HAHA! I can do it in a kayak just fine where the stakes are much higher. So this isn't so bad. But I usually get out just to be safe.
If I go just before lying down for the night, I don't wake up to go for around 6 hours. I just get up, go, maybe have a snack, then go back to sleep for a couple of hours. It's no big deal as long as you bundle up.
Hang the good hang.
