    I'd go with the Arcus idea.Easy enough to build-dimensional lumber,saw,some clamps around a temp form and the most expense-a two component epoxy.Might be a good idea to make the tips adjustable.Might lighten it up to use spacer blocks instead of a solid center but that would complicate the build a bit.Sounds like several other good ideas in this thread.
