WBBB and Ebay

Since I have been looking at hammocks, I have not seen one WBBB for sale on Ebay. New or used. Why is that?

I just thought it was weird, since most other hammocks are on there.

Any that are sold are pretty much sold here as used,,i would think your getting a better price here on the forum and they sale alot quicker than ebay and you don't have to pay the percentages to ebay.

Two reason come to mind.

1. You don't often see them for sale because people keep them.

2. If they do decide to sell it, it sells faster on this forum and you don't have to pay Ebay's fees.

There are a lot of nice Hammocks out there, but everyone wants a BB in their Harem.

I have seen/heard of a couple (like 2-3) in the past 4 years on Ebay. They usually sell for more than a new one cost and are a rarity.

I also have another question. How often do you see camping hammocks on craigslist? Just like the black bird I have not seen a single camping hammock on craigslist yet.

Good Hammocks are a nitch market, you would get more serious looks here than on craigs list, thus why more people only opt to sell on this forum.

Yeah, I can see that. I am just so use to finding everything else on these websites, that it surprises me when I am not able to find these hammocks there.

I think that's dependent on your area. I see camping hammocks on Craigslist Asheville all the time---literally, every time I go on Craigslist (granted, that's not often) there are camping hammocks. Usually ENOs. The camping/hiking community in the Asheville area is very big!

"camping" on various forums for sale areas is definitely they way to go to find a used WBBB. Though, you usually have to be quick about it as they seem to go fast.

Agreed. I see HHs on Craigslist out here on a pretty regular basis. I also see lots of postings listing "a hammock". Two out of ten of those will be 'camping' hammocks once you speak to the seller, or see a picture; they just don't know what they've got because someone gave it to them.
