Spreader bar

I was looking at pictures of Clark's at whiteblaze when I came across spiritwinds spreaderbar configuration. Looks like a really nice idea,check it out

I tried that arc thing myself some time ago.
But where i failed , he seems successful

The material i used wasn't sturdy enough,
i wanted to keep it as light as possible.

So i ended up with a horizontal spread bar,
works OK.
His arc seems better though.
But i think I'm to lazy to start it all over again

I've used a spreader of this type for several years. First in my HH and later in my home made designs. Mine is positioned toward the center of the hammock and is used during hot weather to keep the hammock body off of me and to allow enough clearance for my hacked up coleman fan to work and keep me cool.

Planning to use the poles from a cheap children's tent from IKEA, it cost's only a few dollars to try it out, could work.
