    Lunch date with my wife.

Now that the kids are back in school my wife and I had a lunch date. We have lots of easy, hiking trails close to home. So with gear and food packed we headed out. A mile or so in we found a nice place for lunch and set up our hammocks. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347043016.188757.jpg

. On our walk back we stumbled upon the largest ant hill I have personally seen. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347043200.937040.jpg the little kid in me wanted to poke it with a stick but Crystal quickly talked me out of it. Now we can't wait until the fall so we can hang under a canopy of reds and yellows once the leaves change.

Those ants are trying to make a mountain out of an ant hill. Holy moley that thing is huge!

That seems like a great afternoon but does anyone else notice the tree that had 40 widow maker branch stumps? Hanging under a tree like that is asking for trouble right there.
