I don't see a need for place for women on the forums. I don't subscribe to an "us" and "them" mentality. What's more, there are some who, while they don't hide their gender, they are not out there advertising it either.

I'd much prefer you weigh my contributions here on the basis of what I say, not the filter of who said it.

I will always stand of the side of less sub-forums. I spent several years as a records management specialist, and it is human nature to increase complexity in any information management system. More subcategories just seem like they'll make the information easier to find, but that's usually not the case. It's not to surprising to me that some folks are of the opinion that introducing more complexity will reduce complexity. I'll stick with my opinion that introducing more complexity increases complexity.

Hi I am new to hammocks and was wondering how many other women were into it? Any in western pa and northern panhandle wv? Once I get all my gear I would love to try some group camping and to make new friends! I think some kind of sub or tag would be helpful in finding female friends in my area?
