the basic rule of thumb is 81% of your hammock length for your ridgeline, some like it longer and some shorter, just kinda a starting point

your optimal ridgeline length is 109.56 inches at 83%. i get really flat in mine set at that.

For narrower hammocks, the ridgeline feels better to me if it's a bit longer. My 11' long, 54" wide hammocks feel best at 9'-6" which is about 87% of the hammock length.
My widest hammock, an 11' long by 66" wide, feels best with a 9' ridgeline, which is about 82% of the hammock length.
My narrowest hammock, a Switchback at 48" wide, feels best with the ridgeline length at nearly 90% of the hammock length.
Make an adjustable ridgeline, at least to begin with, and see what feels best for you.

SRL on my Owl's are 108"
i'm 6' 190lbs. those greater in height may prefer longer SRL
and those of less height may prefer a shorter SRL.
I put on an adjustable ridge line (UCR) and fiddle with it depending on how far apart the trees are and hang angle.
Love is blind. Marriage is an eye opener.
My ridgelines are UCR's also. It's so easy and takes only a few more inches of line.

Really, the best way to know is make an adjustable ridge line and test the heck out of it. I don’t know the ratio but going a bunch shorter on the rl on my DIY than I would have thought really made it comfortable. Play with it, you won't be sorry, and don't be afraid to try some extremes, you might be pleasantly surprised.
What I did with my DIY:
1.) Find a pair of closely-spaced trees (didn't have to go further than the front yard, thankfully).
2.) Hang the hammock.
3.) Lie down in the hammock.
4.) Fiddle with the tension on the suspension.
5.) Repeat step 3.
6.) Once the proper length is attained, tie the SRL to the whipping knobs without pulling on the hammock to shorten the length.
7.) Sleep well on your next trip.
It's a little time-intensive, but you're going to be lying in an hammock...it's not like it's time wasted...
