Nice looking group. We have quite a few females with the Palmetto State Hangers (SC), and our hangs are awesome.

*waves hand* Hi! Over here in CO. My dear hubby is a good house-husband and I love him dearly, but he doesn't like camping of any sort. I've had to either not go or join a group/find friends to go with. It is better to go camping than not.

I've actually been making hammocks for friends so we can camp together. Once they try one out and feel how comfy they are and how lightweight they are to carry.....well, it's easy to find a hiking partner now.

I know this might have been mentioned, but have any of you ladies contacted your state Women in the Outdoors coordinator to see if they would add hammock camping to their events?
I have been an instructor at a couple events and they will do just about any thing outdoors if they have instructors. Might be a way to get more women in your area interested.

My wife hangs in her BMBH, oldest daughter in her Claytor, and youngest daughter in her WBBB. The boys and I add 4 more hammocks of varying types. It is a lot of fun when we get together and informational for folks that want to see all of the different hammocks, tarps, suspension, and insulation, since our setups are a real mixed bag of tricks.

I am new to hanging but I know quite a few woman that hang. Most are on advrider forums or they are the GF/wives of members over there.I really never considered hanging a male dominated or male only recreation.I know more ladies that hang, than ground dwell. If more women tried hanging,I believe more would be out there in the group events.I can understand the potty situation tho.I never heard of She Wee, but when I was a pilot, some women used a similar device made from silicone and had a detachable bottle.
Nothing to see here. Keep moving.
