Hi folks. I've wanted to make a down quilt for years. I'm not friendly with my old sewing machine though. I'm hoping my trials and tribulations were due to a crappy old sewing machine and not due to the operator. I've got a buddy who I think will lend me a good one for a project...
Anyway, I picked up some kmart pillows for their down, and am looking for some cheap downproof fabric for my first try at a cheap top quilt. Can anyone recommend some cheap downproof lightweight fabric? I'd like for it to be light and comfy as possible without spending a bunch. I don't want to get some supernice fabric since I'm using cheap, lower fill-power down. if this one turns out ok I might spend a bit more on good materials, but as I said this is a test.
Thanks...
