Just discovered this in my hammock research.

Interesting design. Judging by the date, this is a recent addition, but the design looks very familiar. Good DIY instructions.

Ah, there's a bit of history with that design. Its URL home was elsewhere, the very first posting on the historic "Bridge Hammock" thread linked to it (2007). TeeDee took up the torch and started the DIY bridge phenomena based on that design.
Something I only just "saw" for the first time in that article.... Add an outside pocket or two for your torch, water bottle etc. .
hold that thought....

This bridge hammock was in the first post of the bridge hammock thread started in 2007. This thread started the diy development of the bridge hammock.
The orginal link that is in the first post does not work anymore. It showed the same pics, design drawings, and instructions.
Just shows that if you stay on the forum long enough the old becomes new again
EDIT: Can not beat the Grizz when it comes to a bridge hammock

Ha! I'm only up in the middle of the night catching up on HF because just a few hours ago my body was in GMT+1...were it not for that your posting would have cruised in first. 1:30 a.m. is way past my bedtime.
Gotta wonder why you were up in the middle of the night on HF though
