U/Q PLUQ combined with down UQ ?

I made a DIY poncho liner UQ and used it several times. I have since purchased a HammockGear Phoenix 40* UQ. It works out awesome. I mean for spring, summer, early fall. Aside from buying another 20* UQ for colder temps, could I use both the PL UQ and the Down UQ together to get more R-value ? Keeping in mind not to compress the down ? Any idea's ? Thanks.

im no pro like dejoha or shug, but it may not get you to 20*. the thing you might want to consider is that the pluq might block the heat coming off your body from the down; keeping it from doing its job to it's fullest extent, wasting precious room and weight in your pack. if i were in your "predicament" i would do exactly what you are thinking whilst saving for that 20* or 0* rated uq. whatever you decide, have fun and hang safe.
