Actually, the madrona trees as in Dynamystic's photo really are that color!

Yeah! I asked my wife what she did and she said that the madrone actually looked more saturated in the raw photo and she had toned it down for the pic I shared. Crazy! They really are quite beautiful trees. We family camped in a grove of them the night before. They weren't as big but they were quite majestic against the ocean backdrop. I think we got some pics of that spot also. I'll see if my better half will shoot me one to share.

A few from the family hang the night before in a grove of madrone trees just up the hill from where our friend's sailboat was moored. The madrone really are that vibrant and against the greens they are simply stunning.

My Father In-law's first overnight hang in a hammock. He's also using the tarp I made for him, my first tarp build as well.

Haha, I'll admit the tarp was a lot more work than I anticipated. I've made plenty of hammocks but that tarp was way more difficult.
