    A couple sleeping together in a hammock...Help

    Been reading a lot of threads, seems like this goes either way. My girlfriend likes to go hiking and camping with me. She wants to go on an overnight backpack trip. I do.t like tents because I get bad back pains for one and two I would have to spend more money on gear I don't even want. Been looking at two person style hammocks. Clark is way out of the question for its price. I looked at the eno doublenest and treklight double. Both seems to be good hammocks. We are side sleepers....( like to cuddle lol ) so I don't see it being uncomfortable. But I do have some questions. Will I need a special underquilt or will a full length with draft collars from underground quilts be fine.... That's what I plan on getting for myself. Would be great to be able to not have to buy more than one. Also what are the stock suspension set ups on them? I'm debating on getting the eno from the local gander mountain down the road from me, testing it in her backyard overnight and if she likes it keep it, and if not return it. What are yalls opinion? And those of you who sleep with your significant other please help me on this. Thanks

    It can be done....and some folks adjust to it quite well. But I know I would not. Love the size of the doubles but it's a solo piece for me.
    I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

    Hang two hammocks really close together under one large tarp. You can do two people in one hammock but only for a short time, sleep is pretty much out. I hope I'm wrong but I've never gotten it to work out.

    I'd have to agree with this.

    I've been two deep in an ENO doublenest and it's nice for hanging out, but I don't imagine sleeping would be any good. Also there is no suspension. Includes a couple of attached carabiners, but you'd need some rop or straps to hook them too and they're heavy! I switched mine out to tree straps and whoopies and that's relatively cheap if you learn to make them yourself.

    Anyone wanna let me try there's so I don't have to spend money on suspension? She said she won't sleep in her own lol. I might have to get a mountain hardware 2 tent

    There is a guy on here somewhere that attaches two hammocks to the same tree and utilizes a wooden spreader to keep the hammocks from banging each other. That is what I would try. Two in one is VERY uncomfortable unless your in the act...

    You had better LIKE TO CUDDLE A LOT. My advice, don't do it, or it will probably be the first and last time she goes camping with you.

    Dude;

    Just sayin that in this weather, the last thing anyone should want to do is to cuddle all night next to someone in a place that has no air conditioning.
