    Landing a Blackbird

This July i plan to take a seven day trip across the artic tundra in the Norwegian lapland.

As the picture indicates I don't expect to hang every night, but i recon 2-4 nights is doable, as trees are found in some areas/valleys.

So I need to be able to land my Blackbird safely on ground, and to be protected from weather and mosquitoes.

Anyone have experience and useful tips for me?

Just found the "tag" search function , plenty of info there.
Now I just need to do some testing and find a ultralightweigt ground cloth.

Tyvex does well for this and is really cheap as a huge BONUS. I think there are also cottage vendors that sell ultralight groundcloths, but they are probably more commonly mentioned on other forums that talk more about sleeping under tarps on the ground rather than in hammocks

    Update on the landing project:

The superfly comes to ground easily. I found that a ridge-hight of approx 150 cm / 59 inc. seems to be a best to be able to close the doors. It's make a good match with my trekking poles.

The Blackbird is harder to land on ground. To get the bugnet thigh enough/high enough from my face the Blackbird must be hung high and tight from the trekking poles.

And when it's hung high and tight the pressure on the end-pegs is to much and they're ejected from the ground

    Any help?
