    New guy in Southeast Kansas.

    Hello everybody.
I've been lurking for awhile and just now got an Eno Singlenest. Looking through here has helped me decide on what hammock. When I say I just got one, I mean it just showed up through FedEx today before I typed this. Now I have to go find a good place to try it out and get used to it before we go camping.
I camp with my two sons in Boy Scouts and have another just starting Cub Scouts this year.
I look forward to do some hanging and sharing my stories afterward. I'm hoping my kids might get some interest into it as well.

    See you around the forum.

    Independence? Coffeyville? Parsons? Oswego?

It was before I discovered the joys of hammocking, but Fall River Lake was always a great place to camp and there were plenty of trees. Course, that was about 3 lifetimes ago in the 1990s.

Baxter Springs right in the southeast corner of the state. I've been here since the 1980s. We do some camping over in Missouri as well. We will be going to Marshville, MO, to do some camping and will be my first trip out with my new hammock.
I'm curious about when we go to Texas next March. It's a bit windy where we camp and it has quite a bit of sand. So I hoping there will be a good place to set up the hammock there. There should be enough trees, but I'm just hoping to find a spot that doesn't have the wind problems as bad. In the past we have had some tents that the poles broke due to the wind. No poles with the hammock, but I will have to be mindful on how I set up the tarp.
