I was hoping you would chime in and share how you hang with your pup. I agree about hanging lower when you're dog is laying next to you. I always like to be in reach to give Tala some scratches.

Great idea with the milk jug too.

This is how to hang with a dog. Not how to hang with a bear.

You have one good looking beast there. Just a big snuggler.

    Excellent video. Two picky points.
    1. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT LEADS AROUND YOUR WRIST. Some times things happen, wrists dislocate easily. Do not get the leash around your wrist or your thumb.

    2. Just a reminder about using something to keep the Ticks off your partner.

    3. Rabies Injections are implortant here in the States.

Most obdience dog trainers will warn their students about the danger of leashes/wrists/thumbs.

    Animals do get Rabies.

Fleas and Ticks can cause other health problems for you and/or your K9.

Really a great video, well done.

P.S. I put little bootys on my pug while he is in my hammock, he was really odd about them in the beginning. I put them on quickly, then we rush off on a walk, he walks odd for about 30 seconds, then all is normal, we come back get in the hammock. He leaves the booties on, so my hammock is protected from his nails, and any slugs he might have walked on.

have you considered a full tent setup over your hammock? something like the "smokehouse" tarp? you have full walls and doors that can close in so the pup is inside the tent with you. i'm considering this, but i have 2 gsd's and i need more space. the smokehouse is assymetrical and has the "tent shape" only on stove side and does a pyramid slant on the hammock side so the room is not quite there for 2 dogs or a large bear like you have.

pic from smokehouse's gallery (hope it's okay to use this?)
