Great video Fronkey. Good information presented and it's nice to see you showed securing options as well so they don't wander off.

What a great informational video. I am now just dying to get out in the woods and try some of those ideas out with my buddy Brick. Thanks for taking the time to share this stuff with us all.
Nice dogs and SQUIRRELLLLLLLLLL!!
If you can find some of those items online you should post some links for others to take a look at. I bet that would help out some other people with testing some methods that work for them.
I had a paracord leash for a time and Kiba chewed right through it. But, she's half piranha.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you!
Great tips! That's one of the things hiker's should be figuring out with practice hangs before they do multi-day trips.
For example, Kiba rocks a jacket when we're not hiking and it's cold outside (Below freezing.) However, Tala will never need one even if it's minus 30. All pups are different.
Momo is one cute pup!

Thanks warloc. When I camp with Kiba I actually don't even worry about tying her up because she never wants to leave my side. However, if I let Tala off her leash she will be gone in a second.
Thank you KC. I can't wait to see your trip report of Brick out in the woods.
Thanks granny!

Cool video and very informative.
Great video and some really good ideas Fronkey. Those pups put Benji
to shame! (The squirrel bit nearly made me snort my coffee!).
Cheers
Here are some links to the things I take when out with the monster:
Outdoor Products 5' x 7' Tarp: sadly, no link, but you can find them in the camping section of Walmart.
Boots & Barkley Raincoat: also no link, but you can find them at Target for $8. This one from Amazon is very similar: http://www.amazon.com/Guardian-Jacke...9078931&sr=8-5
PETCO Dog Pack: http://www.petco.com/product/114443/...-Dog-Pack.aspx
Amazon has the tarp as well 5x7 Hiking Tarp
I can't remember which forum I saw it on (Bushcraft Forum, I think), but one of the members used a gear hammock for his dog, had an under quilt an all. His pup slept right bellow him.
"Any night in a hammock, is a good night."
