This is a great thread, and comes at the perfect time for me! I'll be reading in its entirety.

I have been reading through this thread since it started. I bought down, fabric, planed and replanned the build.
Then just as I was ready to start building in 2015 I found a reasonably priced Winter Lynx, I bought it.
We had a soaking, then fire, lost my Hanging gear.
I have been working up my nerve, again, to build a Lynx Clone. I have a few pounds of down, MultiCam Fabric and thread and my plan, all ready to start cutting.
I found another Winter Lynx...I think I am going to buy, I do not believe I will be able to fashion a Lynx Clone I will be happy with.
Now, I will need to decide what to do with too much down and fabric. LOL

“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”
I definitely think the revised formulae are better, especially with higher loft quilts. The spreadsheet works well with transverse differential.
Making the quilt differential in the longitudinal direction is another layer of complexity again. Leg shelf, taper, butt-sag,darts, etc are a whole other ball-game!
Is there an android app that will allow me to work with this file? I've tried saving it as a copy, but it's still protected, and I'm unable to do anything with it. I've tried Polaris office, Google sheets and Microsoft Excel, all free versions. Can't get it unlocked

To which file are you referring?
If it's my version, it is not protected.... well the worksheets are protected (to stop the formatting from getting all mussed up), but the unlock code is on the sheet.
And which way are you trying to get it? The one archived on the forum? Or the one on Dropbox?
And I think I've opened it with WPS office on my phone, but I can't swear to it. I'll check tomorrow morning (left it at home, in my rush for work).
I used the link on drop box, then saved it to my tablet. Tried working with it in three different apps, and was unable to edit any of the values for my own design. Saw no option to unlock the protection. I'll admit this is the first time I've tried working on an excel sheet on my tablet, so I'm probably missing something very simple

Looks like Deopbox won't let me change the permission settings unless I upgrade to "professional" (bah humbug).
Have you tried the link to the one on the forum,
UQ_Calc.xls
Interesting.
Just tried it here and all the boxes in the input column are editable.
Which worksheet do you find the problem, the Metric Input sheet, or the Imperial Input sheet?
(note - you cannot edit the imperial figures on the metric sheet and vice-versa on the Imperial one)
