How does that walmart polyester stuff stack up to the fancy REI and like poly stuff? Is it worth the difference, or is the walmart stuff just as effective?

It's all polyester, so I personally can't tell the difference between my $50 REI shirts and my $6 Walmart shirts. Of course, Walmart is not marketing their crap as high-tech wicking material with mythical qualities. As far as wicking, I think they're equal. However, the Walmart stuff does snag a lot easier (expected from a $6 shirt, I guess).

That was a great trip and you prooved to yourself that it is better to keep your meals simple. Just in case a meal is burnt or spilt I bring extras, the only redundendancy I carry.

Nice set up you two got thanks for the video and trip report.
