Check out Dutch's site. Nice set up using whoopie hooks and shorter tree straps. The total weight of my suspension system is now 2 ounces. This includes short (around 24 inch) tree straps and, for me, pretty long whoopies slings at around 6 to 7 feet. The tree strap goes on the part of the tree with all your weight and force, while the whoopie sling finishes the it off. I do use home made Dynaglide whoopies with amsteel continuous loops on the hammock. This helps out when you go from a smaller tree to a larger tree; I have maxed out my tree straps before but did have a tree strap extender to cover it.. I am still deciding on whether I will need a longer tree strap or not and whether I can use shorter whoopie slings.
I do want to give a shout out to BearChaser for showing me his whoopie hook suspension set up.
