    Back to the tarp challenge

So my GG failed the rain test and is being returned. I have an unused Equinox (coated) 8X10, but it has grommets and I don't want to sew tie outs. I'm also torn between the diamond and other set-ups. The diamond is simpler, but I'm a little wary of the coverage. That leaves me thinking about what to buy. Still looking inexpensive, but I figure i will need to up my budget to at least $50, maybe $75, but no more (I hope). I guess a Chinook may fit the bill. A little wary of the Kelty after hearing about some water failure. I would like to use an HF vendor if there's a good choice in my price range. Prefer credit card to pay pal. Yes, I need your help.

Kelty failure? I have not had one fail. I have the Noah's Tarp. I never even seam sealed that one. It is great. Many of my friends take it because you can set up for ground dwelling in the event of an unfriendly park.

Upon initial inspection of mine, it appears Kelty is now factory sealing the seams. Can't confirm but would be interested in finding out.

Tadpole sounds good. How does it compare to an Etowah ($75 1.1. silnylon 8x10) and a Claytor?

Someone tried using a Kelty Sunshade instead of a Noah Tarp and reported a failure that's all. My Kelty Noah Tarp 9 has never failed. And yes they are factory seam sealed. You can trust them.

+1 on what Rip said. Picked up one of these from Marty and have been extremely happy with it. Link and some pics I took here:

I was thinking about getting a Chinook from this place. The price seems pretty darn good. http://www.manventureoutpost.com/pro...%2C-Green.html
