Just picked up an ACU Digital poncho liner after reading about it on another thread and really like the possibilities it has. I'm going to begin modifying soon and had a few questions. What is the usual "size" of your topquilt? I'm also trying to figure out if I can go without my DIY IX UQ and just use the liner down to something around 55*F. Ideas for modifications anyone?

Why mod it? Try it out first and see what it needs.
For one, it's huge. I can make a sleeping bag easily out of it. And two it weighs much more than I would like. Plus, what fun is just buying gear and not messing with it

i cut a hole in the center of mine with velcro zipper so i can wear it like............a poncho
