Greetings HFers,
Next month, I'm getting transfered (I'm active duty USCG), and it will be back to sea for me!
Aside from getting my sea-legs again I need to find a sturdy enough hammock and suspension that will endure the dynamic stresses caused by a vessel underway. This would entail a constant rocking motion, and/or regular loading and unloading of the suspension and hammock body fabric. My thoughts are to go with a 10oz canvas material with the body. Obviously, weight is not an issue, , but I'd like to keep it somewhat compact or contained when stowed.
Any thoughts?
