    Thanks

Thanks for the replies - great reads all!

Re: Ranger School - it would have awesome to have a great dog looking out for the RIs at patrol bases - I remember in particular, like jayf124 seeing boots straddling my rifle and being told to "wake up Ranger" - to which I protested that I was NOT asleep - only to notice that the sob instructor had turned my cap around backwards on my head. A guard dog would have been great, but a hammock would have been useless since we did not sleep (except on security) for what seemed like weeks at a time.

Here's me 2nd row from the top 5th from the left. Lost 49 pounds in 3 months. 600+ started - that's all that made it. Voluntary human misery at its absolute finest.

God speed to those guys in that course and all serving in harms way right now.

Thogh a great hiking dog )for day hikes) I am afraid that me little black weenie dog would serve no purpose of protection.

But he sure does get excited when I ask him if he want to go take a nap in the hammock. All he wants to do is snuggle with daddy or mommy, but he really loves the hammovk as much as daddy.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.

I never get much sleep. One of these two are always growling at something:
