Its a great UQ, most of the names on here make good ones.
there are plenty of reviews on the best ones on the forums.
But Hammock Gear makes some top notch stuff.

    Other choices=
    Leighlo
    TeWa
    Jacks-r-Better
    Warbonnet wYeti
    and others.
For seriously deep cold I'm convinced nothing beats a peapod approach.
For kinda cold like 5-20F then the winter underquilts are great.
You don't have to go completely full length and do well, the Warbonnet wYeti is rated from 0-5F (I've only had mine to 10F). The Yeti is a 2/3's model.
I've also used a Leighlo 5-50...it is a 4/5s underquilt being 5 feet long and 50 inches wide
    and rated to 0F.
You have lots of choices and really cannot make a wrong choice for quality.
    I napped this afternoon above a Jacks-r-Better Mt.Washington 4

I bought some winter quilts from Paul at Underground Quilts. Great quality gear and Paul is a good guy to work with and I think he's in your State. May even be close to you. Shoot him an e-mail. All the quilts available out there are great quality from good vendors though.

I myself use Jacks R Better and have had a great experience with them and their products. With that said I am looking at getting a new uq and tq for summer months( or just in general since I do live in Texas) and this new underground quilts company really looks good. They provide excellent service from what I have read and they also have the widest range of color options that I have seen from any of the quilt makers!! Whatever the case I recommend that you use down all the way! The stuff cant be beat.

Can't go wrong with the HG Incubator 0*. I have three of them.

You might want to consider the coldest you'll go to in the winter up there. Shug's been down to -26*. I'd go with an overstuffed version of one if I was going to go that far, plus a sock. You might even consider talking to Adam about a custom one with bigger baffles.
