I think mine is 15ft, two piece.

How long is each piece, and how is it for sag? Is it fence top?
Built myself a stand. Figured it's tradition to post it. Gonna make another for the girlfriend tomorrow, then test it down at Assateague national seashore.

New to the group and already over the edge. So much for lurking .
I've used a hammock occasionally between scout camp and other camp outs with the boys. My back has decided that tents are the last resort.
I put together a modified TDS using the Surplus Camouflage tent poles and bolts for hinges. I added a turnbuckle for the down rig connection.
At 270# I wasn't sure about how well 2x2s would hold out.
Here's a few pics.

as one who also tips scales in the 270# ± range i too was leery of most of the 2x2 TDS's described/pictured on this (humongous) thread
though i had bought the hinges and bolts for one i hadn't built it YET
found a semi-local source for the ANTENNA MAST SECTIONS like you pictured and put my ends together but have left them @ 8' so far
did you shorten yours and if so to what length and what is the sitting height you ended up with?
if you cut the bottom section how did you address the cut off bottom?
did you move the ring or plug the hole?
thx
