unless you subscribe to some of those threads you never saw the bickering until it hit the main area. You have it going on here but don't know. It is mostly done in PM's.

I'm bummed about WB just because I'm leaving for the LT tomorrow and needed Frolicking Dinosaurs Nutrition article and the "What to leave behind list". Oh well.

Tosto, yeah, I'm with ya. I needed to pm ewker yesterday, and couldn't because I have no other way to get hold of him. Who knew he'd actually show up over here again!

Ewker: sorry, I wish I could have gotten hold of you about the dinner last night...

With WB closed down, I'm looking over on other hiking message boards and I'm finding that my buddies have been posting together at other places without me. I feel so betrayed.

(actually I wish I was kidding more than I am... I need to go hiking)

It is a shame that it came down to at time out for WB. It was very helpful while Nest was preparing for his hike, and I used information from the site for supporting him while on the trail.

I will say that it got ugly sometimes between a few of the members, and they had a way of making you feel really stupid for asaking a question at times. Never felt that way on HF.

I also agree with Shadowmoss - WB had something special with some of the non-AT threads that allowed people to just get to know each other. That doesn't happen as much here...we just get together to socialize and show off our gear!

I have to go now, before I miss out on the hammock sale!

hehe. We really need to thank Bull, he's the one who started the original thread about them, and posted when he got his to show it was legitimate.

As I said, I plan to sew them together to make a double-bottom hammock. I will then put ring buckles on it. One of these days I may even use it...

Oh, and Lost, I continue to try to teach Nest how to hug last night as we left the dinner. I think he needs a lot of practice, so I'm blocking out some time to spend showing him exactly how he should be giving and receiving hugs.

    uh, topic? what topic?

Hmmmm, I just got the shipping tracking numbers for my hammocks and hammock stand, and it looks like they are already in Nashville, due to be delivered tomorrow. I just ordered them last night. That would be cool, to have them for the long weekend. Anyone who has theirs, where was it shipped from?
