As a general example of how this discussion could turn like wb does, I'm guessing that there is an off chance that the 5-7 'bad seeds' that tlbj would like to see 'go away' are different that the 5-7 ones that I tend to blame. And so wb turns.

Here, I'll just turn to discussing my new hammocks as soon as they get here. Yes, I bought 2 of the $16 ones. I'm going to sew them together to get a TTTM double wide/double bottom hammock. WooHoo!

Go away might be a bit strong. They are good people with great hiking ideas, but it is their non-hiking "baggage" that ruins the whole board. Cut out the non-hiking "baggage" and they could all stay. In fact, go back 2-4 years when most of them did not allow their "baggage" to spill into the forums and you'll find a nice place.

Stop talking hammocks in a non-hammock thread. Seriously, what $16 hammock? I wouldn't mind picking up an inexpensive one for car camping trips.

Unfortunately, this parrots what we see and hear in/on most other media. There's lots of hollering and personal attack, not so much substance about the issues.

What troubles me about the current WB state is that it developed, IMO, out of a lack of enforcement of the rules. The posted 'rules' are fine but they need to be enforced. Otherwise, many will continually test and cross the line, just as a toddler or young child will continually test the limits. And, as with those with young children, those behind the scenes at WB need to enforce the rules.........
    Amen.

I hope the WB admin will take whatever time is needed to come up with a set of rules that they can all live with and agree to enforce universally. They don't have an easy job by any means.

    $16 hammock

The island bay portable camping hammock at Hammocks.com

I ordered two and should receive them to day

Shadow - have you received yours? The pictures look just like ENO or TTTM.
Do you think they are the same?

Re: $16 hammocks, hammocks.com, search for island bay ultimate and you may find it. I haven't checked this morning to see if the sale is still on. I read about it here in the 'possible good prices' thread. I believe (hope) that it's the same hammock that is also eno doublenest/trecklight double/Ticket to the Moon hammock.

We posted at the same time . I just ordered mine last night. I also ordered a hammock stand. I'll let you know when I get them. I noted that several folks mentioned getting theirs in the original thread before I ordered.

Hmmm... a half-dozen $16 hammocks might be the answer to how to sleep my enormous family around Christmas time. Whoops, I slipped and talked about hammocks - not sure what came over me

I just ordered one. $19 shipped. Figured the material alone is worth $19. And it might make a good start to a winter setup?? Or just something to hang in the backyard.
