Enjoy a spring BP! A 12 mile relaxed overnight trip this weekend in the Birkhead Mountain Wilderness. Hike along babbling branches and ascend to the top of Birkhead Mountain. I'll be departing RTP at 9:00AM Saturday, return Sunday afternoon. Hope to have some company(makes Momma millergear more accepting!)

Dang! Wish I could go. My first hang was in Birkhead and I loved that trail! I'm itching to go back, but prior commitments prohibit. Have fun and rest assured there is someone jealous in Greensboro!

Do not take anything you have to leave in your cars. Someone broke into 4 or 5 cars that where using the park for an over night camping trip. Did not get all the details, but it was listed in the Randleman newspaper.
Camping gear, ipads, gps, 300.00 to 1800.00 dollars per car. sorry but I had to say something just read about it today. No mention of patrols besafe can not make this my first group hang
Thanks for the tip. Do you have any idea where it happened? There are a large number of Trailhead sites.
