    Greetings from Minnesooota

I should have made my first post here, but I just got too excited and started asking my questions. What's surprising about this forum is that there is so much information and knowledge being shared here that asking the usual noob questions is just redundant! Shug ignited the spark and now I'm itching to get out and hang.

I'm from Peoria, IL, but my wife and I moved up here to Minnesota at the end of 2010 to go to the U, find jobs, and be closer to some family up here. So far I have visited the Boundary Waters with my dad last summer, but there's still millions of acres of wilderness left to see in these parts. Looking forward to seeing it from an elevated perspective!

The Superior Hiking Trail is a ton of fun too.

Welcome to HF from a fellow Minnesotan. See you on the trail!

Welcome to HF. The learning curve can be steep, but the rest at the top of the hill will be real comfortable

Yeah the BWCA is literally a million acres by itself. Some of the back country around it is less traveled and more remote than the "designated wilderness area". Have fun exploring!
