    wilderness logic "night owl"

I am interested in the night owl design ---seems like it would do very well for tall people like me! Just wondering, is it just a rectangal with drawstrings on the side, or are there foot pockets built in?

Hey stevebo, I believe that Knotty's side-stretch hammock is of a very similar design
Here . Just change his starting fabric length of 10' 6" to 11" like the owl.

Hammock is roughly rectangular. No built in footbox like the WBBB. But the shock cord in the sides can configure the hammock with a pseudo-footbox. I've got the Lite Owl, and I like it better without the shock cord sides pulled tight.

i use a NO and a LO and they do provide a little more comfort for taller hangers.
the shock cords allow me to customize the amount of edge control where my feet and head settle.
i shorten the foot cord to help me keep my feet from sneaking out of the hammock when i roll onto my side.

One more question: when you say its 11 feet long, is that before the ends are whipped? Also, is it a channel/warbonnet whip?

i think the NO starts at 11' before the whipping.
i'm not sure of the final "finished" length. (I have a SRL attached, 108").
