Received mine. They are thinner that I expected them to be, which rules out one project. I thought I'd be able to make a 1 piece SPE type arrangement by cutting it into a "tee" shape and putting some grosgrain around the edges, but it doesn't look like it will hold its shape for that to work.
I'm going to sleep on that tonite to see if it holds up and does anything for warmth. Temps down to 55 tonite. I'm thinking of this for Early Spring/Late Fall, so it will be a fair test.
Going to try and cut one to fit my Hennesey pad, trim with grosgrain, and put some reenforcment for grommets. The Hennesey pad is just too bulky for anything other than car camping, but if I can get this to work, it should pack much better. With the drop, will make a pair of booties.
Project #2 is to sew it to the Crazy Crib to use as a UQ. The crib worked well with the Woobie and if this is comparable in performance, it will be a good replacement, and I can still add the woobie to boost it even more.
Thanks for taking on this project, and the fast delivery.
