    2n2h:
If I am understanding you correctly this will put the ridgeline outside the hammock and not allow you to access things quickly while the weathershield/bugnet is zipped closed.

    Grumpy:
I like the idea of the line locks for the 250 mod. The 200 has the hammock tethered to the tarp so it is easy to use shockcord alone as a ridgeline.

No, I was thinking running it through the gathered end into the hammock like on a WBBB. Would this not be possible? Maybe I'm missing something?

How do they tie off the ends of the hammock?

This way the arch supports the weight of the items you are suspending and you have two seperate areas to attach stuff.
On my NX-150, there are loops outside, at the top, at each end . . .
Attach a cord from there down to each gathered end.
This should hold the tension and the poles from sagging in.

    I would think

You have a 250, just look at it? It is sewn together making the gathered end, and a loop is sewn in for the suspension.

Clark hammocks like ENO's are cinched end hammocks. They have a channel for the suspension to go through at each end and then use a knot or larkshead for the suspensions attachement. If you were to try and feed a ridgeline through the hammock you would have to make holes for it to pass and I think you would not have it high enough to allow you to lay in the hammock.

What a structural ridgeline for a clayton?

I know that you are discussing ridgelines on a CLARK hammock but I was wonderning if someone has made holes in a CLAYTON hammocks bugnet to pass a structural ridgeline through?

    Thanks Bradley,
I think that would help greatly. I'll, give that a shot. I appreciate your help!

    Hey BBG,
Thank you. I see your point. I don't think it would be a big deal to run the line, but if it was to run from the mid point of each end, it would indeed be skirting just above your nose.
