Ohhhhh man. I only have alcohol stoves and may need this.....especially since below freezing I have to battle my alcohol stove.

How much use can you get out of one of those tiny canisters of isobutane?

I was cautioned that in cold weather, like 20F, the propane tank may need to sit in warm water to work well, pressure goes down with the temp. I have a SVEA123 for the really cold days, so this was for the light weight and compact size for me. I might get a second for those gourmet meals where two burners would be nice.

The video is nice, thanks for finding and posting it!

    Enjoy

I heard that I should be able to use the alcohol stove down to below freezing temps. When it gets cold I stick all my cooking gear outside my apartment door and wait for it to hit a prime temperature. After that, I give it a shot to see if I can get it going. So far with my pressurized type of alcohol stove I have had no luck. I think I might need to use an open one like the cat can type of design.

Well, I still picked up one of these. I think it might be nice to have when I go with my GF on a trip. If I need to boil a lot of water this may be quicker.

I purchased two of these for 15.96 including shipping. I am waiting for their arrival. It is good to know that there is a cold temp issue with the fuel source. I purchased the propane/butane mix cylinders from Walmart for around 4.98. Looking forward to trying it out.
