LOL!!! This is how I feel.

After reading this I've decided that I don't need down in Florida. Thanks for the laugh!

Only thing better would have been Shug videoing the event, with commentary.

It does read like a Tom & Jerry skit, doesn't it? Just too funny!!
Of course, we do expect to see the pics of the finished product hanging in the filed!

In this case, I'd say I did a pretty darn good job. There was almost nothing left floating around in the air in the bathroom or elsewhere. I think if I'd gone straight to the bathtub method to start with, I would have been somewhere very close to 95%. What I didn't recover went down the drain, or was tangled up in loose threads in the abandoned blanket, and there was darn little of it.I got something close to 24oz of down out of the blanket, and I can't fathom that I lost more than 1-2oz once it made it into the bathtub. Pillows are very often cheaper though (an overstuffed King can be ~$50 if you shop carefully, and have close to 30oz in it) being that they have less material and labor, and are MUCH easier to get the down out of.

This would have been a disaster. I think the alternating fits of laughter and rage would have caused a stroke.

I'm starting the new quilt tomorrow, having located some fabric that, while a bit heavy, is water resistant (not water proof, but not far from it), and took a 2 hour beating in the dryer with nary a feather lost.

If you see footage on CNN of a small house in PA on fire, you know what happened.
