    Happy Birth Week To Me...

Well that's what it felt like this week. I called home Wednesday around lunch time and found out that my ATHH was there...I had been accepted as a field tester... completely unexpected...but at any rate...It was glad to get the opportunity to test it out. THEN...yesterday I got home and was getting ready to go back to town for some erands and UPS pulled up and dropped off my Hammaka Hammock!

I threw the Hammaka up last night realy quick like and will be writing up a full reveiw and a list of modifications shortly. The camo is Realtree AP. The Tarp is a diag. hung tarp with an 11' ridge line and a 10' cross line that has two tie outs that are 3' apart.

SUPER huge. I've never had this much room before!

And...as if it can get much better...it packs down very small!

The hammock has it's own stuff sack sewn on and the tarp comes with it's own stuff sack and 6 guy outs with 4 stakes and 6 ropes with slide tensioners.

I'll be doing a little bit of modification such as a ridge line and suspension, which I'll get into later.

Happy Birth Week to Me!!! Oh yeah...my Birth Day is actually July 22 if anyone wants to send a card! LOL.

I like the set up and went to Hammaka's site but I did not see this set up. Do you have a link where I can get the specs and costs.

This set up is a prototype so it is not up on the Hammaka site. I'm hoping to have an entire line available for purchase in 2009. Any information you would like on the prototype Hammaka items can be addressed to me or Alex.

Alex will be writing up a full review in the next couple of days, most questions will be answered then. Please wait for that review and if more questions come up we will answer them at that time.

    Thanks,
    Adam

This thing is super awesome! I can give you a few details on the HALO SE (Hammaka Active Life Outdoors Stealth Elite)...the hammock is made of 210 T Nylon and has a total weight of 26.8 oz shipped from factory...with my mods...we'll be able to cut that weight down a little. The tarp is made from a Poly Ripstop and has a PU coating. The tarp, and cords are 20.0 oz.

To make this week even better...I just got my special package from a fellow HF'er and in that package was over 50' of Dynema and 4 SMC Decender rings! Whoo Hoo...I love this place!

I also edited the first post...I ment to put up the photo showing the 20oz Diet Coke bottle in comparison to the hammock and tarp...hammock on right and tarp on the left.
