Scratched another DIY Project of the list this afternoon as I continue getting ready for a trip to Algonquin next month, anticipated temps for the trip are -25c to -30c (-13f to -22f). Today's undertaking was down sleeves to bring my winter “sleep system” one step closer to completion, only a hood remains now.
The sleeve shells are made out of 1.5oz ripstop and filled with 750+ FP Duck Down, they have 5 sewn-through baffles plus an adjustable cinch cords channel on the wrist. The pair weighs in at 7.5oz with stuff sack and straps.
