Hi Peggy and welcome to the world of comfortable sleep! I'm in Pelham, AL

Thanks so much for all the welcomes. Can any of you tell me about the hang in south alabama. I would love to look at a clark jh north american. Will this hammock keep you warm without having to buy all the uq oq etc....?
The hang we had planned for last weekend in Conecuh National Forest got postponed due to the rain. Have not nailed down a date just yet for the reschedule. Keep an eye out though, hope to get something set up.
As for the Clark, not sure....I use a Blackbird and alternate between my Arrowhead Equipment New River full length UQ and my DIY 3/4, which it similar to the Jarbridge River AHE sells. Both are rated to 30* and I have been fine.

Welcome to HF From Gadsden. I have the CJH NX-200, the large version of the NA. The pockets under the hammock are for gear storage and do not adequately keep you warm in winter conditions. Like Aboyd, I use a KAQ New River UQ with this hammock. You can also use a self inflating air mattress and sleeping bag in the hammock to below freezing and be quite comfortable. Look at the reviews on the CJH website and you can read about my first experience out with my CJH. Also, if you would like to try the CJH let me know by PM.

peggy29forever and all the other Bama folks, come on up to the Meriwether Lewis hang in Feb. Not far from the state line and most everyone that hangs there gladly shares their rigs, set ups and knowledge with each other. That way everyone can learn from everyone else.
Come on bigbamaguy get them all lined up to come on up and join us. tnhillbilly
