Calendared ripstop = windproof?

Is calendared ripstop considered to be windproof?

I have some leftover calendared ripstop from a UQ project, but I cannot put my hands on it right now, and I am considering using it to make a hammock sock.

Is 1.1 oz calendared ripstop appropriate material for a hammock sock?
If not can you recommend a more appropriate material?

It's about as windproof as you can get and still breathe... Only Sil is more windproof.

it's a good choice for a sock...
