"I wonder if anyone else has an ear so tuned and sharpened as I have, to detect the music, not of the spheres, but of earth, subtleties of major and minor chord that the wind strikes upon the tree branches. Have you ever heard the earth breathe... ?"
- Kate Chopin
Since many types of cordage are sold in hanks of 25 feet (300") or 50 feet (600"), my guy lines are typically made from 75" or 100" of either 1.75mm Lash-It or whatever 2mm utility cord I have handy.

I use 6' lengths of 1.2mm 300lb break Dyneema fishing line, loops tied in both ends and a prussik loop attached.
Easy to extend by larksheading on spares, and a handful of them weigh a gram!
All four corners have 12 footers of zing-it to reach nearby trees--I haven't got around to adding lines to other tie loops. A sloppy set up here but not so many lines to pack with tarp.

Here's basically what I do. Except I use a continuous ridgeline, and for doors I just use shock cord with clips that attach to the other facing door corner. Thanks to Warbonnet guy.
